The most important part of our packages is our people. Each of our crew members is either on staff or selected from a pool of freelancers who have been checked out and certified Clark ready. And it goes without saying that our team has the most professional “can-do attitude” you’ll find anywhere. If you are a freelancer interested in working with Clark Media, please call 610-694-9800 or send an email with your qualifications to email@example.com.
Gary was introduced to electronics in high school and built his own HAM radio to talk to others around the world. After earning an Associate Degree in Electronics, he attended various broadcast training programs while he was a television engineer for a medical television series.
After a few years of hands on experience with tube cameras and portable video recorders, he and his newlywed wife bought a brand new Sony Betacam and began renting it to producers and cameramen throughout the country. In the early years of Clark, Gary did sound and video engineering on single and multiple camera productions. These productions enabled Gary to travel the world working on productions ranging from heart transplant surgery to Buddhism.
Now with over 30 years of solid experience in broadcast quality production and a technical expert, he also serves as Clark’s Chief Engineer. Having the president of the company in charge of the gear means everything stays in tip-top shape! Snyder’s extensive background includes production engineering of numerous corporate and broadcast programs for clients such as Merrill Lynch, American Express, Fox News, CNN, Martha Stewart Television, The Food Network, ABC and PBS.
As new technologies are introduced, Gary works with the Clark team to determine the best production tools and solutions to meet the technical and financial requirements of Clark’s clients. Currently he is working to expand our already large inventory of specialized HD solutions.
Patty has a Master’s degree in education and was teaching full-time when she and Gary started the company in 1987. In the early days, Patty would check the answering machine during lunch breaks at school and return phone calls and book crews. This was fairly easy when we only had 2-camera packages and only a handful of freelancers to schedule.
As our daughters were born, Patty shifted her responsibilities to that of a full-time mother and part time company owner. As our daughters grew up, Patty and Gary followed them through school and attended scores of swim meets and tennis competitions. With our daughters now graduated with degrees in Chemical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, Patty is shifting her time back to a “hands on” roll working with the financial side of the company.
